The Experience

Take yourself back to the early 1800’s where settlers were just beginning to expand from North Carolina. Indians lived here, settlers lived here and both lived off the land. As you walk the hollers you will be walking back in time, this land has not been touched for over a hundred years, hidden deep in the Daniel Boone forest is a private sanctuary.  As you set out to discover these secluded hunting grounds, feelings will be forever galvanized in your soul. You will pass old chimneys as you cross several streams as flowers planted over a hundred years ago are still blooming near old cabin sites.  Elevation changes over creeks and large boulders make this a full day’s hike. We recommend practicing from different elevations up and down.

The caves are daunting, they will make you think. The challenge of the hunt at its finest!  You may want to get a bear tag while you’re at it.

Come and enjoy deep woods coolies and the spirit of early settlers, walk as they did and fill your heart with the smells of the forest. Explore early settlements with grave sites that date back to 1821, our hope is that you walk away fully satisfied with all aspects of a great hunting experience, starting with great friends and perhaps some new ones.
